Lisa Pirkle knew she was an artist when she was 5 years old. Her parents finally bought her a paint set when she was 10 years old and she has never stopped creating.
Lisa's favorite subjects tend to be those found in nature, such as fish, birds, frogs, turtles, etc. Lisa spends most of her time outdoors and in her travels she has seen many wonderful creatures that capture her imagination.
She has started a new twist on her work using reclaimed and found materials. She calls these pieces Get Green Art. This body of work is full of color and fun and sometimes function. She goes to demolition sites and finds a lot of her materials. She is trying to do her part of helping the environment by keeping some materials out of our landfills and turning them into art. This body of work is full of color and fun.
Lisa's style is as varied as her interests in mediums and materials. You will find paintings, sculptures, mosaics, pottery, wall sculptures, fountains, birdbaths, and more! Fish and wildlife are her favorite subjects. Musical instruments have a new twist here as well.
Commissions are always welcomed. Lisa has never found something she cannot do. Just ask her. There is always something new every week at Bonefish so come by and see.
